What are 11.8 pounds of late foreign coins "worth'?

I picked these up in the service - Phillipines, Australia, Bahrain, Greece, Hong Kong, etc., etc., etc. Big coppers, small coppers, odd shapes, big nickel composition coins, bi-metals, and more. Quite a few Australian 1 and 2 dollar coins now that I look. Those are worth about US $1 if you can find some place to cash them in.

    Ballpark to ask? $10? $20?

    ???

    Thanks

About how many coins in total do you have. I can usually buy a lot of 100 world coins for around $15. Where are you planning on selling them?

11.8 pounds should be worth more than 15-20 bucks man.

If they are all modern, I still say $50 or more. Add up your Australian dollars, they are worth a little more than $1 US each nowadays.

Thanks for all the quick replies, folks. I stopped counting at 600 coins. This does not include $30 in Australian $1 and $2 coins, and a few odd shaped ones I took a seperate picture of. Not that are worth much/anything but they are neat.

You could always host a contest...say, for maybe a group of x amount.

    Just a thought.

I like the coins with the holes in them!

    Thanks for your service Atarian.

Run a sealed bid auction in the for sale section. Highest bid via PM before a deadline gets the lot.

Or, update the post with the running highest bid. (Kinda like FeeBay, but without the fees)

I sell similar at the local flea market, four for a buck. Usually sell between 100 and 200 coins a pop.

Seems like something that would do best with an auction. It's kind of hard to place a value on a ton of coins from many countries with different grades. True auction seems like the best bet. Or "50 coins for $xx, 12 lots available." That may work too.
