i tried searching for my answer, but fell short for whatever reason. my question is: for those of you who store your ancients in non-pvc flips, do you type out your insert, or hand write it? personally, i'm leaning towards typed, as my handwriting is a wreck, but i can fit more info handwritten on the insert. what is your preference for your coins?

I've been typing them up, though I've fallen a bit behind in doing that, so I have a bunch of unlabeled coins at the moment.

Mostly typed, but hand written when I'm feeling lazy and plan on typing it out later. I also have a bit that are unlabeled at the moment that I need to get to. XD

When its typed, I'll try to fit this all on one side

    Vespasian, 1 July 69 - 24 June 79 A.D.
Silver denarius, RIC II part 1, 362; SRCV I 2317, BMCRE II 74, F, 2.879g, 17.2mm, 195o, Rome mint, 72 - 73 A.D.; obverse IMP CAES VESP AVG P M COS IIII, laureate head right; reverse VICTORIA AVGVSTI, Victory advancing right, crowning legionary standard with wreath with right, palm across shoulder in left.

"This type likely refers to the victory in Judaea but does not specifically identify that victory."

    Hand written like this:

    Vespasian/Victory
    Rome Denarius
    RIC II, 362

I simply write in in print hand. Allows me to more quickly write them up, and add things like weight and other facts later.

I also love getting a hold of older flips in others handwriting. I think it personalizes a collection.
