known mintage? 1806 large cent estimated mintage? edward i penny minted in kingston-upon-hull unknown? aethelred ii penny, any of my roman coins, or even my ancient and medieval chinese cash coins.
Considering mintages are unknown until modern times, your question would lead one to believe you are asking only about moderns. In that case, maybe one of my Dahlonega or Charlotte pieces, I am not sure which offhand. If asking about known coins, I have a few coins I am guessing there may be only a dozen or so in existence. Few others collect them, so no biggie.
I bet you all would love to know, along with the rest of the world with a connection to the internet.
i guess that depends on your definition of modern. edwardian pence mintages are not know for 100% certain, but the wieght of the coins is known, along with the pounds of silver sent to each mint to be used for coinage, so the mintage is fairly certain. not 100% certain, but a very reasonable guess can be made.
Was going to say an 1892 South Africa 2 1/2 Shillings (with a mintage of 16,000) BUT I forgot about this (just got it two weeks ago.) Estimated at URS-10 (251-500) by the Cherrypicker's Guide:
1880 newfoundland 50 cent at 24,000 1953 panama balboa anniversary at 50,000 and 1844 great britain crown at 94,000 are my top 3 low mintages
