Depends on the composition. These were released in 1960 and minted up to 1980. Type 1 composition is 92% Copper, 6% Aluminum, and 2% Nickel struck from 1960 - 1979. Type 2 composition is Copper/Nickel, struck from 1974-1979. Type 3 composition is all Nickel, struck in 1980 as a 25th year celebration of the Bank of Israel. I believe the obverse looks like this: Comparing the Hebrew on your coin(from your photo) it is the same as one I found on eBay that is dated 1978.
Actually it has to do with the year written on each coin, not the composition. Karen561, your coin is from 1967.
