I received these a few weeks ago and just got around to popping the lid on the shipping container. I know some of you aren't happy with the way the mint is now producing proof sets but this collector loves the laser etched look. These are silver.......
I like them a lot also. Now, if the Mint could just figure out how to do the same thing on the 5-ounce puck, would that be outstanding or what!
The 12's look amazing green. Can't wait to pick some up from my favorite location as they are released. Chaco and Yunque are probably my favorites this year.
A lot of these designs would look better on a larger canvas, so to speak. Quite frankly, I haven't seen any of the 'pucks' up close.
The pucks have a matt burnished type finish. A proof puck would be truly outstanding. Your silver proofs look great!!!
I think the mints have figured this out also, as evidenced by the Royal Canadian Mint Wildlife Series and the Perth Mint Wildlife Opal Series. Come on, U. S. Mint, what are you waiting for?
I do like these 2012 ATB quarter designs. The Hawaii quarter with the volcanic eruption seems a bit odd, although it may hide any milk spots that develop. . TC
I really like the designs. They look great in silver proofs. Maybe I'll have to get some.. Thanks for the pictures.
I only know the laser can be used in the mini laser stage light, laser gun sights and other light design. But I don't know can be applied in the laser engraving.
Wow! Those look good, I'm currently waiting on my Silver Proof Set to arrive and I hope they look as good as yours.
These are much nicer than the States quarters, however, because of all these designs you can now pass me a Colombian 25 Cent piece and I would never notice.
Another ATB fan :hail: These designs have something for seemingly anyone. I personally like certain big game wildlife, like Olympic and Yukon. I also like certain scene topics like Chickasaw and Mt Hood. I also like that I can scrutinize designs I don't initially gravitate to, and then fall in love...
Wait a minute! Green, you got these a few weeks ago and are just NOW opening them?!?!? My wife always makes fun of me because I open everything in the car on the ride home from the post office...
LOL. Actually the sets arrived in early January, JT, but I was away (down south) at the time. I didn't get a chance to open them till early February when I returned home.
those are very nice looking. I have the states nut need to get my hands on all the others made after the state quarters
