Found a semi-key date today...

    ...while metal detecting. To bad about the condition. V-nickels do not hold up to well in the ground. Its a 1886. Funny thing is I have found this year before, the other was in better shape but still all rusty looking. Also nabbed the 1832 large cent with a big ole hole in her head. A dateless buffalo and a real nice 1891 Indian head penny in super condtion. Full Liberty and diamonds. A fun time out looking for old coins. First picture is of all coins before a cleaning.     Lucky! I went metal detecting at the beach near my house and only found a 1977 quarter and a cent from the 80s lol

    How about sharing the location. Maybe you'll get to know a few thousand people by saying where you found those coins.

    Any old home site U.S.A. Thats where I find my best stuff...

    ...go knock on any old home in your area with stone foundations and ask for permission to detect their front yard. I get about a 50% ok when asking. I just keep knocking until someone lets me on their property. Jim
