I don't get it... You can clearly see damage on the face of the coin, also around the edge, what makes you think it is anything but PMD?

Your coin has rims (obverse & reverse) but the copper core on the edge has been dissolved away by acid. PMD all the way.

He is telling you that the "silver" rims are still there, it the the "brown" center that is missing.

On another note if you do have coins of value you need to hold them by the edges, otherwise you will put noticeable oils/fingerprints on the coin.

No, you did not make that clear at all. So what you are saying is you have a 1970 Quarter where the copper core along the edge (not the rim) has been dissolved away by acid and a Bicentennial Quarter that has been damaged, right?

Those are soda pop quarters. Get yourself a Pepsi, Coke or Dr. Pepper with those, that's about all they're good for.

We see those acid etched quarters about once a month here on CT, and other PMD coins much more frequently. And you have one of each. I keep all my PMD coins in a big jar... I find them interesting.
