I know, but how the devil will I pay for this fine gem of a coin? Oh, woe is me......

    According to his description:

"I have put away many of the best items I have found and will be offering them to you!"

    That just cracked me up.

Yeah, I don't know about you guys, but all I get is a cast iron piece of awful...no coins. Is the link correct?

If you're a really frugal and savvy shopper click on the "See other items" link and find the $7 pennies that are a bargain.:)

To the eBay lister with all this stuff for sale: Please tell me what it's like way, way, WAY out there...and then seek treatment.

To the OP: Just curious why you wouldn't use the link to one of the actual coin auctions you were talking about. I'm lazy...don't want to be figuring out mysteries like the Hardy Boys over here...lol

The link takes you to a seller of cast collectibles (item 120895126716)... he has NO coins for sale. Click "other items for sale" and you see 17 items, all cast antiques. Very strange indeed...

Hopefully Ebay got after this guy for a scam, rather than a bunch of people wasted their money.

Yup I get the same, but then I realised and nearly had a heart attack that these coins could be behind the completed listings
But then I looked and they weren`t there so I was ok again :smile

I didn't think eBay assigned the same item number to two different auctions. Both the OP's link and this link take you to the same place, and the URL's are completely different.

That is strange. The link did go to the cent auction yesterday, and I remember some of the other items from that seller being the same as those showing now.

Well, I do know that if you have no bids on your auction, you may completely edit the title, pics and description... in other words, replace the entire auction with another, even though the item number remains the same. I guess that's what happened when the seller realized his coins were worthless.
