Italian Currency & AMC Issued in Italy

I'm in terrible delay :bangg: but if you have not started to collect Military Authority in Tripolitania notes, maybe you would like to see some of its.

The first attempt of a British occupation currency for Tripolitania was notes of British Military Authority (BMA) with value in British coinage system (pence, shillings, and so on). But the people were used to the decimal coinage system, and refused these notes. So, running, made ready new notes in Lire and decimal system. Notes of BMA were after used during italian occupation, together with am-lire and dollars with yellow seal.

From my collection 2 Lire and 10 Lire. They are written in english and arabic.

2 Lire is a very interesting note, because his value was equalized to Marie Theresien thaler, the silver thaler largely used in African commerce since 1780. So this note had a large circulation, greater than the others types.

The name is BAIARDI (Mario Baiardi) and he is the engraver, also for the 10 Lire Jupiter.
