hey guys found this coin in the ground. It is a 1913 wheat cent. Is this an Error or what is the technical terminology for error coins? thank you.
Looks like it was hit with a hammer. But I do see an outline of what looks like a coin but I am probably wrong. Probably the outline of what the thing which hit it was. It also looks like it had an acid bath too.
PMD in the top left picture, you can see a slight circular line going across the cent, probably what it was hit with. M2 P.S, iGradeMS70, I like your mood thing, very funny.
i first thought snowplow damage because i find many in conditions like this with one side good and the other side worn flat with scrappings on the road but i would say railroad like mrbrklyn said ....
PMD.. I think you guys are wrong on what caused it though.. Look very carefully at the pics.. its obvious that bigfoot stepped on this coin. Nice ground find, I found a 1957D the other day in the front yard while spreading topsoil. : )
