Where do you draw the line ? Do you put a banknote in a sleeve when its value is: higher than a penny higher than the sleeve's value higher than 0.50$ higher than 1$ higher than 5$ higher than 10$
If I save it I am putting it in something, the ones I do not sleeve are ones I spend. I have some that are probably only worth face but I still like them so I save them
Since I only collect US I have found it really hard to find anything with a value under $1. Spend anything worth face, everything else goes in a sleeve.
I put all notes I am collecting in sleeves for one reason or another, whether the value is 10 cents (fractionals and/or MPC's), or hundreds of dollars.
When you're a regular strap searcher like me and you find anywhere from 10-20 stars, fancy S/N's, older series, etc per day, it begins to seem a little hard to sleeveeverything. I sleeve all that I can but I can't always keep up with it. I make sure though that anything $5 or more value gets put in a sleeve. -tbud
I'm focused mainly into coins but have also accumulated 80 or so notes during the years. Majority of them are cheaper than sleeves but I like to look them easily.I automatically save every type banknote worth less than 0.50 USD and others if they are crisp or/and beauties.
I put all of mine in sleeves but I am just beginning so I only have about 50 notes anyways. I would like to think though that I would always make sure to sleeve them all just as a good way of organizing and protecting them.
