    Good morning everyone,

On the 22nd of this month our coin club is holding it´s first coin and collectables show in 20 years. Now this is the first time I have taken part in a coin show so I want to prepere well.

Now what i´m displaying are the following in a box 1000cm*500cm

    Icelandic bread and merchant tokens
    Kingdom coins 1922-1942
    Coins from 1944-1980
    Current coins 1980-2012
    Errors and varieties

Now the setup I had in mind is this

Tokens and coins of Iceland 1830-2012
    Errors,varieties and speciems.

Not the Errors, varieties and speciems are easy to setup

But the others ones I had to figure out how to display as some are coins and some are tokens and some are slappbed.

So I came up with this idea. To display all coins, merchant and bread tokens as out own currency used from 1830. We used other nations coins untill 1922 but this show what we made out selfs as a nation.

Please note all sizes are a little off and are just as a refrance.

The pictures on the top are the Icelandic coat of arms from the 1500´s to now

Every token will be explained with the maker and year. As I was afraid of using both coins and slabs I somehow think I can pull it off as the kingdom coins are all in one eria and all slabbed.

    What do you think ?

i like the way that looks ... it's organized and attractive.

It's a refreshng change from the disorganized displays that I have seen at coin shows recently

    Nice work!

I was going to say that once you tried to put all that and the information into that box you were going to find it way overcrowded. Then I looked at the dimensions again and I now think there will be a LOT of room. But now I wonder how anyone is going to be able to read what you put there without climbing into the box with the exhibit. A 10 meter by 5 meter box? :) (For US collectors a 32 by 16 foot display box.)

OK I'm sure you meant 1000mm by 500mm. Which once again brings me to the thought that once you put all those items, identifications, and explanations in the case it is going to be way over crowded. What I see would probably work better in four cases instead of one.
