Good grading book?

    ANA grading standards, PCGS guide to grading and counterfit detection, Photograde by David Bowers.

    That one will teach more about grading than any other book I know of, and I've read them all.

    I also recommend the PCGS book already mentioned. But even PCGS doesn't follow it much anymore, but there is still some good stuff in there.

    y opinion the best advice is to get and read them all. But you can't learn how to accurately grade coins just from books. You have to look at and study thousands and thousands of coins in hand, and that goes for each individual series.

    I have the 1st edition of the PCGS one, I wonder if their grading standards changed between the 2nd edition

    Probably, i think its over 5 years inbetween. The only reason i say this is because of the green slab (OGH) desirability.
