1964 D Jefferson - are my eyes playing tricks on me?

    So, just happened to be browsing through my rolls of saved Jeffersons...noticed something strange with the date on this 1964 D Jefferson. I can make out some interesting lines on the 9 and 6 of the date. Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or can anyone else see something?
