I bought these coins at a shop where the coin prices hadn't been changed in a while. Can you tell me what kind of condition do you consider these conditions to be in? How much over the price do you think they are worth? I could just look that up once condition is somewhat figured out.

    Check out http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/

    G
ive it a shot yourself at grading. It's a good idea to be able to do some rough grading before purchasing a series.

EDIT: With that being said, your Barbers look to be in the G, VG range. Worth around melt, unless they're better dates (I didn't check the dates out). If you paid the prices on the 2x2s, I'd say you're in the right neighborhood price-wise.

I tried this out grading. The Barber quarters looked about somewhere within the VG range. The Barber Half and dime looked to be anywhere between G06 and VG08 which I am surprised about due to the flat face on the half. For one standing liberty, the 1926 I am getting about the higher G and the other 1930 a higher VG border F.

I think you did decent on that barber half, they're worth about 11.5 melt

    Or is that a quarter?

It's a half. I got a Walker for $12 too. The barber dime at the time I bought it had a melt value of $2.38 but I bought it for $2.25. I got a 1930 mercury dime for $2.25 and another barber quarter not pictured here for $6 as well. In total I paid $3.36 over spot for about 1.97 ounces of 90% silver including a little extra for the standing liberties I just wanted and considering silver dropped this week. I definately got a good deal but just wondering if I got a bigger deal with the Barber quarters. I went back for more after spending $41 and got silver $39.56 worth of silver.

Here is a polished up Barber I got for $6. The other coin I got for $6 but exchanged it for one in better condition because of the thing on it.

The coins look in the G/VG range - worth melt value to any dealer, maybe a bit more for the Barbers on eBay.

Yes, I would say the dealer can't even buy lunch with the profit he made on those. Unless he bought them a few years ago. I wouldn't expect to see those for sale much cheaper than that.

How about these coins? I think they are somewhere around the end of VG borderline F.

No 12-D quarter made has to be a half.
