this was a recarve i did for a member of another forum..the subject was the j1617/p1813 pattern dollar, the host coin as you see was a 1879 au morgan..i mark all of carvings with a deep engraved z and leave the reverse original plus i don,t change any of the letters on the obverse as to keep anyone from thinking it,s a original pattern dollar... i feel that one day my recarves will have a place in coin history...my recarved morgan dollars are very limited to less than 10 per year.

On this Morgan, if it were not for your inital, I would have do a double take to see if it was a pattern. I too believe that your art form will hold it's own in coin history. Coins carved by certain artists will increase in value just like paintings. I personally would love to have one of your carvings Bill. Now all I need is a good idea & the money to get on your waiting list!
    Thanks for Sharing,
