    Well, the reason I ask, and I don't know a darn thing about Lincoln Cents or coppers in general, the feilds and surface seem to me to be uneven almost like a pitted surface, not smooth.

    Especially over Lincolns shoulder and in the field below the word America

    Many early Lincolns have an almost matte finish, very different from later years. Here's another. This one is also a 66RD. The '11 is a 65RD

    Hey - that is why I asked. I thought, though, that the pattern because so close to the shoulder line, might be an indication of a problem. But I just don't know a thing abut Lincolns.
