    hi all,
i need some advice here i have a chance to buy a 1928s standing liberty quarter in fine to very fine condition for $14.50.
is this a good purchase? is the coin worth the investment? any feedback or help would be great since im pretty new to collecting.
im used to just buying for the silver in junk coins.
    thanks all.;)

that is right around were it books. You need to decide why you might purchase it.No one else can tell you what to do. good luck with what ever you decide.

That's about the ballpark value for a VF 28-S SLQ. I'd say it's a fair price. I wouldn't necessarily say spending 14.50 is a huge investment or an investment at all, buy it if you like it and want it in your collection, don't expect to turn around and sell it for huge profit if that's what you're planning to do.

I would say it depends on your collection. What is your focus? Do you collect SLQs, DO you collect Quarters? DO you collect silver coins? What does it add to your overall collection? Are you just buying shiny coins that catch your eye with no real point? You might think about where you want to go with your collection before you drop $15 bucks on a shiny quarter that you didn't really need after all.
