Just curious what people think of this coins condition as I'm not much for grading but like the coin.

Not necessarily, you can get the Type I (No Stars Below Eagle) in that condition for $50-$60.
    Coming from a newbie, VF.
But the surface looks very clean for such a circulated coin, perhaps cleaned?
Once again I'm just starting out so take it with a grain of salt.

I like it, except what looks like a nasty scratch on the reverse across the left wing that goes straight down across the eagles neck then across the D in Dollar. That would be one reason for me to not buy this coin if given the opportunity.

Yes that scratch is there and it is noticeable but more so in the close up picture. But I only paid $39 for the coin and I'm happy with it overall.

Lots of feathers and solid shield markings.

It would almost go for EF except for the scratch which knocks it down a grade. So

I'll go with FTWraith on the VF condition.

You got it for a good price.

Nice crisp look on the reverse. Strong date on the obverse. Nice.

I would say just under $50
