Come on now. Really?? I know there's been overpriced eBay discussions on here before, but this is just getting ridiculous. I just had to vent. :dead-horse: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Vintag...aultDomain_0&hash=item3a6c4f2ae4#ht_500wt_969
Why would it be a fake? It's a common coin that's not even in good condition. Other weird things about this: He has about 12 photos, most of which are basically the same. It has free shipping, but he says in a note that he will not combine shipping. What kind of a seller won't combine shipping (assuming it wasn't free - this must be his template for all auctions)? I wish eBay would allow a buyer to exclude certain customers from their searches so you could block someone like this and make sure you didn't accidentally buy from them in the future.
Yeah I feel that. Back when I used to buy a lot of junk coins off ebay soem douche named GTI would somehow SPAM his adds all over Ebay. Im talking at any given time he has 3000-5000 ads placed many of them "junk silver" auctions. Which if he prices where good I wouldnt complain, **** if they where half decent I could shrug it off and figure let the guy make a buck. But all his freaking ads are for over double spot and include tons of war nickles... The guy has so many auctions up at once for junk silver coins that you usually have to pass about 5 of his just to see one from someone else. It is redonkulous
You got a problem with that? How about http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Rus...426?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a683e4c6a The seller is an idiot, hoping some buyers (also idiots) will go for his coins without checking other sellers. So far he got a few buyers though, I bet there will be some more in the future, there always are.
There's another world coin seller called Justanotherlamb who has about 500 auctions that he/she runs every day (they're all one-day auctions) and they always end around the time that I'm searching eBay. His/her prices are too high in my opinion so I don't even look at the coins, but they just dominate the search results for about an hour's worth of time every night from around 10-11. Sometimes I do a custom search where I put their name in an exclusion box, but I wish I could just block that seller permanently instead. On a side note, I don't understand how they aren't losing tons of money relisting everything daily when they can't be selling many items with their high prices.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna buy these off him:  New Russian coins by the National Collectors Mint. Clad in .9999 Pink Stuff :hailjoking or am I?)
I assume you mean block sellers. You can, here you go. http://reviews.ebay.com/How-to-Block-a-Seller-apos-s-Listings?ugid=10000000006694277
Yes, I did mean sellers, and I knew about blocking them the way that link shows, but it isn't something you can save - it has to be done fresh every time. That makes it much less useful.
gawd ebay is such a scam sometimes. Their lieing customer service told me before I could not block a seller and I just had to deal with it.
