I got this lot of coins for around $20 at a local antique shop where i live. I think they are all silver coins. they are: Russia 1910 10 kopek, Russia, 1909 15 kopek, Newfoundland 1941 10 cents, Britain 1940 3 pence, Mexico 1942 20 centavos, Australia 1958 sixpence, Phillipines 1945 20 centavo, Mexico 1943 50 centavo, and Haiti 1908 50 centisimi. Did i do okay at $20 for these? silvercoins 001.jpg

Ebay recent completed listings is your friend. I would look them up but am frankly tired, don't mean to come off rude.

I don't collect coins other than US coins, so I can't tell you much. But if they are all silver, I think you did great.

I'm not a collector of world but I do know based on getting canadian silver in my change that some world money is NOT 90% silver you need to do research. When I took my canadian silver it is only 80% and dealers don't pay like they do american because it's not a quick easy sell for them.

If they were all silver, but unfortunately they are not all silver. The largest of the bunch, the Haitian 50 centimes is a copper-nickel coin weighing 10 grams. Still an intersting little group of coins. But for $20 my preference would have been a single much nicer example of any of the coins in the lot, except maybe the 3 pence which is probably the least valuable of the silver issues.
