Every year, I do my top acquisitions of the year in December or early January. I’ve been swamped by work and life in general lately. So I haven’t posted much lately. But Happy New Year to everyone.

Thank you. I think it has a 65 strike. But unfortunately there is probably too much chatter on the Obverse

@HAB Peace 28 2.0, I've got to ask . . . have you carefully checked the '85-CC for authenticity? The mintmark looks wrong to me. Aren't the letters too tall and narrow to be the real deal?

Yeah, as far as I know. It’s authentic. I got it from a really good trusted seller. But thanks for looking out.

My top acquisition of 2022 was a VF details coin with a hole in it, produced in San Francisco in 1918 with a die originally from 1917 which completed my SLQ top set (for now). I'd say my other top favorites are a Henry VI 1/4 gold Noble (1422-61). This is the same type and date coin that was found in Canada this year which has led to some inquiry as to when the first Europeans were in Canada and a 3 Cent Feuchtwangers Composition with the NY Seal. All three of these are details coins - the latter two were body bagged by NGC (which is how I could afford them, lol).
