Calling German coin collectors - Strance mint mark

    Good morning everyone,

    What I have here is the 1922 50 Pfennig aluminum - Now what is puzzling me is the mint mark as seen in the photo.

    Am I missing something ?

    It´s C over E wich is not in the catalogs and is common :)

    Looks like a capital E in frakturschrift

    Sorry I`m not German but I do collect coins :devil:

    I`m going with an "F" mintmark and it has some die flow underneath as can be seen to the left of the sheaf under the letters r & i

    I agree that it is old German script for the letter E.

    It looks like an E to me as well.
