One of my more recent purchases. I picked this up in September or October of last year. It’s an 1836 Capped Bust Dime. 1,190,000 were minted. They were minted from 1809 to 1837. This is a Variety 2, which has a modified design. New equipment at the mint was used to make these. She’s toned a bit but sweet as ever.
This Dime now resides in my Whitman’s Type Set album. My Whitman’s album is a lower grade than my Dansco album. It was the last Dime I needed in this album.
