Oh boy! Called around this morning about halves and picked up $50 from BofA and $35.50 from the local credit union (a different branch of my dump bank) I know that there was a 40% 69Ken just in the loose change. I'm still sitting in the parking lot right now because I'm so excited to have learned that it's possible to buy the bags from the coin collector machine here at the credit union! Looks like I'm gonna have to create a new dump bank account somewhere! Wish me luck on the rest of my morning stash! HH!

Read it again man... good day, meh results on the dimes. $1010 in dimes and only 3 roosies? Not great.

I'm glad I had a break in the skunks too... hopefully things turn around for everybody here.

Picked up 2 boxes yesterday but have only gotten through one of them so far.

    3 40%
3 proofs '96 '97 and I forget what the other was but it was in the 90's.

be interesting to see if any are in the other box as well. I wonder if someone cashed in a whole proof set.

I was just searching penny rolls this morning. Checked a 1992 and my heart beat a little faster. It was a CAM......but then I tilted it and it was wide. The shadow made it look close at first. Figured I'd have something to actually post here, but don't. :(

(I know, so why DID I post? I don't know. Just bored I guess.)

Two boxes of halves this morning - skunk & skunk
The great thing is, my teller ordered four boxes, just in case I wanted more.
    I've taught her well.

    two boxes of dimes yesterday:

    Box 1 - skunk
    Box 2 - 1 merc,1 rosie,1 1962 candian

I still dont trust myself edge checking dimes for some reason. I edged checked box 1 then actually date checked them all and verified i didnt miss anything. Found the 3 in box 2 edge checking, still have to recheck to make sure i didnt miss anything. Guess I gotta slowly build up to only edge checking. I still date check all halves also.

    Weekly results time!

    Boxes:
    Quarters (1): Skunk
    Dimes (4): Roosie x1 and 80% Canadian x1; Roosie x1; Skunk; Roosie x4
    Nickels (2): Skunk; War x1
    Halves (2): 40% x1; Skunk

Slow week for rolls besides that last box of dimes. This was also my 5th plastic-wrapped Brinks box of nickels, with only 1 War Nickel found total... far below my normal rate but maybe 5 boxes is too small of a sample size.

    Rolls:
    Quarters (58): Wash x1
    Dimes (114): Roosie x4
    Nickels (68): War x1
    Pennies (66): Wheat x22

Also had $4.50 in loose halves, skunk. Picked up 4 loose Ikes as well.

    Foreign finds: 92c Canada, 1fr France, 35c Bermuda, 2.30euro, 10ag Israel, 11p UK

Decent week again, wish my halves luck would improve though :(

My mini bank run this morning turned up 3 40% halves. I guess that kinda makes up for the skunk box yesterday? ;) I'll take it.

i wish i could get halves from my bank. none of the 3 local branches will order them and i've only managed to find 15 of them (no silver) total from all 3 banks. i've emailed a couple of other banks in the area to ask about ordering and may open an acct somewhere else and use my current bank branches for dumps. so far i've only managed to find about 20 wheats, 1 silver dime, and about 10 rolls of copper pennies from about $300 worth of rolls.

Forgot to mention the obscene amount of BU coins in those two skunk boxes today. Never seen that before, makes me wonder where those came from.

I just cracked a roll and the first thing that caught my eye was an IHC. 1901. Not in the best shape. I know you shouldn't clean coins, but I was reading other threads about dipping them. I also read another post about tarn-x. Should I dip this in something? If so, what do I use?
