I was wondering if this is a double die? I am still very new to error searching just comparing it to the pictures in "Strike it Rich With Pocket Change." Does anyone have any good tips to tell between machine doubling and double dies? I have a couple of 2011 cents that I thought might be double dies too but I am not sure. This is off a bicentennial quarter. Thanks!

I think after looking at it more it might be machine doubling because a shelf like appearance of the doubling, does that sound correct?

Yes. It appears to be machine doubling.......flat and shelf-like.
