I was going through some pennies and noticed this 1924 penny. It appears to be a strike error due to metal flow, but I do not know how to classify the coin....clip...struck through....? Please help.
This looks like a struck thru coin . something has been in between the die and the planchet when this coin was struck. if someone had ground this area off the original mint luster would be missing in this area. regardless of what happened to the cent coin this still would not make it worth a whole lot but this should add a little extra value to it.
:thumb:Yup to worn to have a TPG look at it 4 sure. but I sure would have like to seen when it was Gem Bu:kewl:
