WASHINGTON, D.C. The U.S. Treasury announced today that it is recalling all of the Texas quarters that were part of the program featuring quarters from each state. “We are recalling all the Texas quarters that were issued”, Treasury Udersecretary Jack Shackleford said. “This action is being taken after numerous reports that the quarters will not work in parking meters, tollbooths, vending machines, payphones, or other coin-operated devices”. The quarters were issued in the order in which the various states joined the U.S. and have been a tremendous success among coin collectors worldwide. “The problem lies in the unique design of the Texas quarter, which was created by a Texas A&M graduate”, Shackleford said. “Apparently the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together keeps jamming the coin-operated devices”.
A guy walked into a bar in Dallas and asked the bartender if he had heard the latest Aggie joke. "Whoa !" says the drinkmixer, I AM and Aggie ! That BIG ol Boy at the end of the bar played guard as an Aggie. And that guy over by the door is an Aggie. Are you sure you wanna tell your Aggie joke ? Why heck no, says the guy. I don;t want to have to explain it 3 times !
For a second I actually thought this was real until I got to the last part. Now I wonder if people will just read the first part and see if texas quarters on ebay skyrocket
It was just short of a summer session which ended with a bike accident, a misdiagnosis by the quack shack, a hospital surgery that didn't take place, and a transfer to U of Houston for 2 years of useless classes. Well, not totally useless. Organic Chemistry was a useful ELECTIVE!
No, that's how long it took to fill out the application to go there, you can't count that as being an actual student there.
Good point, should have waited till Sunday to post this. Of course I meant no disrespect to A&M, any state, school/person could be substituted.
Just for the record rum and coke burn your nose when you laugh as hard as I just did! Welcome to Texas now go home! ;-)
Been hearing that same joke since 2001. First for KY, then for TN, then for..... Basically I've heard it for each of the southern states.
