Hi, I am not a dealer and do not have access to certain price guides. Could someone tell me what the going rate is for the 2006 20th Anniversary Silver Eagle set in OGP is? And isn't there a bid price and ask price? What should I expect to get out of my set (approximately)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure, and could be totally off base, but $300 comes to mind....

Did you look at completed sales on ebay? That's usually a good measure of value.
You could also google "20th anniversary silver eagle set value".

The ones I've found on eBay have sold for between $380 and $450.

You have to advertise those for sale in the http://www.cointalk.com/f61/ for sale section, and you have to have at least 10 posts I believe.

Yup, offers to buy or sell are frowned upon in this section.

I see they are going back up from the lows of a few years ago. I traded one in the spring of '06 right near the peak of the initial run-up after the sellout for $450 then they went down near $275-300 for a while. I guess the 25th set has rekindled interest in the 20th sets. I look for the 25th sets to do kinda the same thing in a few years.

Last year at this time they were under $300. But the craziness of the 25th anniversary set and the reverse proof in that set has seemingly lit a fire under the 2006 sets. Saw one in my local coin shop this week marked at $495.

Greysheet bid in January 2012 was up to $400... I think it may be a little higher today. For reference, bid in January 2010 was $265.

It was 'marked' $495, but do you know if or how much it sold for?
