2002 Indiana State Quarter Error missing clad

Hi folks,First post. Hope you don't mind me digging for info.Found this some years back and thought I should take it out of circulation.Is this common?

bad mixture in the copper nickel? it's made with 2 layers of 75% copper 25% nickel layered on a core of pure copper.

 

Dont know if its common but its cool for sure.

 

Looks like a racing stripe

 

Fits the Indy theme.

 

I was thinking about having this graded. Does anyone think it would be worth sending? What does it cost to grade?

 

More then the quarter is worth lol.

 

Actually, it looks like it was in some kind of holder that contained harsh chemicals which severely toned that portion of the outer clad layer.

Don't bother getting it graded.
