    Hello everyone!

I wanted to show off my most recent purchase. Just got it yesterday. I talked the guy all the way down to $45 in trade, not a bad deal at all! 1882-S PCGS Harry Bass Pedigree MS62. Sorry about the photography. I just took a couple of quick shots and put them together. I will post a better image soon!

Here's a better image. I also wanted to let the community know that I'm now offering US coin grading, and numismatic photography services. Grading is $6 per coin (slabbed), and photography is also $6 per coin for a glossy 5X7 and JPEG image, grading and photography service is $10 per coin, fees don't include return postage and insurance. My website will be up and running hopefully very shortly. Please feel free to PM me if your interested and I will send you a submission form by mail or PDF format.

The Bass pedigree is important with gold, but unfortunately I'm a little skeptical of its being anything more than a curiosity with anything else.

Here's hoping that someone out there will pay a premium. I own this one :) :

Does that just mean that it is a piece that was originally in the collection of harry bass? Might be kind of a stupid question but i've only collected for a few years and am just going on context here....does that make the coins sell for a premium?

Yes. Its a pedigree and as swhuck said, is more significant with gold.

The OP's coin at $45 wasn't bad and as long as he enjoys it, was money well spent but looks to be no better than average. The images leave much to be desired (with all due respect) so its difficult to see if it received a pedigree dump.
