10 quick penny rolls. Only 2 wheats, '53 and '57D but the '53 has a small cud on the left wheat.

 

Here's a rundown of my $100 nickel box, it was all Customer Wrapped.

Pre-1960's - 35
1 Dateless Buffalo
Nice 1962-D, probably a MS64ish coin with most of it's steps
1 Canadian 1974
1 2009-D

Overall a pretty decent box, those 09's are tough to find!

 

Scheduled to visit a client in North NJ today so yesterday I called the local bank I have an account at and the tellers had $7.50 in halves that they would hold for me to pickup today: 1 x '56 Franklin, 2 x '64s, 1 x 40%er

I hadn't seen silver in my last 4 boxes so this was very nice.

 

Very nice indeed. I haven't had any luck with teller trays. I picked a few, but no silver.

 

Four boxes of dimes
Box 1: 1941 mercury in a very rough shape, 1951 roosie.
Box 2: 1941 mercury in decent shape.
Boxes 3 and 4 were both skunks. Got five boxes of halves to be picked up next week. Can't wait!

 

On a different topic: which banks sell you bags from counting machines? Every one I ask at sends them out so far.

 

Dumped a box of dimes and was $1.30 short. Coins aren't coming out of the reject tube. They held some halves for me so I bought them. When they brought them out I knew they were dumps because the rolls had been used several times. I thanked them kindly for looking out for me and took the $200 and will drop it off tomorrow along with my other dumps.

I wonder if some machines are off a bit when counting. I've noticed a lot of my boxes re off by a buck or so. I search dimes a lot, so I am too lazy to count them out by hand. also, I always put in a Canadian coin or two, just to make sure the reject slot works. If they don't come out, I ask a teller to check it for me.

 

1 box of BWR nickels, 3 war nickels, and 2 from 65 and 66 that were spectacular.
1 box of CWR nickels, nothing to speak of.

We are half way through a BWR box of nickels and I found 1 war and my daughter found a 1937 Buffalo.
I am getting 2 boxes of halves on Monday.

 

2 boxes of dimes, one '53 to show for it! I have a bank holding a handful of halfs in a teller's drawer that got locked up today when the teller left early. Hopefully can pick them up tomorrow morning for a score! Might also pick up more dime boxes if I can dump my coin early enough.

this is basically my template and just fill in the date,how much I found and what box number I'm up to...

also I had to stop searching for a while there cause of family problems and had to loan out the money...but I'm back and with a vengeance! up to 4 boxes a day now and was able to get 8 boxes to look through today and some for tomorrow...lol...(give me a break if you think 20,000 dimes should be done today) what I do get done looking through will be cashed in and more boxes/rolls picked up tomorrow...I know I'm probably wearing my welcome out here...but also I'm only going to be living in this area for another 2 months after march...and then I'll have new stomping grounds

Another thing I am Jealous of Canada... they have FAR better looking silver dimes then us...the boat just shines off the coin....Roosevelt...not so much...

yea it seems any boxes I can get from US Bank in town tend to be good...
those last 2 boxes I posted are also US Bank boxes too...
also my 13th box I searched was also a US Bank box being 8 silver dimes
just wish I could always get my boxes there...but most of the time they turn me around...most of the time it cause they say I need to pay $7.00 a box... and the average I get of silver dimes/box I get at US Bank in town is about 2/box so not worth it...
going to add the rest of my list just to show all in one place if anyone wants to see it instead of clicky click clicking...

 

That's odd. I'm with us bank, and they don't charge me for boxes. But i probably just jinxed it.

 

My regular half dollar boxes were nothing spectacular this week. 1 90% and 3 40%. Went through a few quarter boxes and didn;t find any this week.

Dimes were better. Found about 8 this week. Filled another roll. When I start a new roll, it seems like it will be forever before I get it filled with 50. Slowly but surely they seem to get filled, however. 1 or 2 dimes at a time.

Had a interesting conversation with a teller this week. He thinks some people at the main vault at his bank may be pulling the silver. He thinks so just because of things he noticed, nothing first hand. Seems to me most of the coin rolling should be automated, so I don't see how. Plus I wouldn't think banks would want their people taking all sorts of coins with things going in an out of rolls constantly and tracking who took what. Not very good book keeping. Though, I imagine I would be surprised to see how lax it is overall.
