I have a 1974 $20 uncirculated in mint condition that is miscut and misprinted. i was curious how much it is worth. I have pics but they are too large to post. I can email them if you would like. Thanks, Mike
to CoinTalk Mike. I'm not a currency collector myself but I have seen bills which were cut incorrectly even though the front and back were properly aligned in relation to each other, and they really seem to be a form of post-production damage, probably coming from the uncut sheets sold by the BEP as psuedo-errors and sold by EBay scam artists.. On the other hand truly misprinted bills, often carry a premium. Those are the ones where the front and back are misaligned, or the seals/serial numbers are printed on the back, etc. If I'm off base about the miscuts, one or more of the real currency collectors on the forum will certainly say so!
Send them to chrisrocco777@msn.com and I'll look at them, then use a generic Photoshop I have and will post them.
Pictures of the definite combination misprint/miscut bill have been posted in this thread, so please continue the discussion there.
