    Hello everyone,

Yesterday I went to some banks in my area seeking early Presidential Dollar rolls, 2007 series in particular. It just so happens that I got lucky enough to find a Federal OBW 2007 George Washington roll. I took it to the deposit ticket table and broke it open to do a quick search for missing edge lettering, and as I was scanning through them when I discovered a 40% off center strike, so I took it to the teller jokingly telling him he gave me a messed up dollar and he offered me $200 cash on the spot for the coin. I said okay and he pulled 2 $100 bills out of his wallet and paid me. I also found 2 with missing edge lettering that I just sent to NGC today, I'm sure they will come back 66-67 at least! I would say that this was a great day for just one roll and obviously the teller had known something about numismatics or numismatic errors at least. I will be going back to that same bank tomorrow and I will post if I find any more goodies! :hail:

Q: Is there any known 07 Washington $1's with a 40% off center strike known?, and did I get a good deal?
I'm positive that it was a true off center strike as I have examined several other issues in the past.

Off center anything is rare and no two are alike, so yeah, varying degrees of off center strikes do exist in most series of coins. Including the prez dollars. I think you done well with the tradeoff, personally you could have gotten a little more if you sent it to get slabbed and sold it on CONECA's site or something similar. Very nice finds nonetheless.
