Dude, are you saying that the entire box was silver? That's insane...

No, a box is $500 and he said $499.50 in clad, which isn't silver.

My local gas station knows I collect all types of coins. They set up a cup for me and they put all their "foreign" change in it. So far i've got from them
    ~1946 6pence
~v nickle... have to find it to verify the date, but it has a huge "acidy" like burn on the obverse
~ no less than 3 pre 65 canadian dimes
~III cent piece (again, lemme find it for date) it is also in bad shape :(
    ~ several 1930+ canadian pennies

Yeah, I lost my patience for cents not long after I realized I may have been wasting my time on cent boxes if I'm only searching for wheats. Now that I look for WAMs/CAMs and other varieties I have trouble getting through an entire box as well, so I stick to around 8-10 rolls per day.

I decided to pick up my first full box of quarters today in several months (normally I just open 6-8 rolls a day) but I'm pretty sure i won't find any silver, I guess I'm just doing it because I know I can cash the whole 500 dollar box in before my halves come in on thursday. Going to pick up a 2nd box of dimes today too, whee. If my luck from yesterday holds up this could be a great birthday week lol

I've been at 1.1 or 1.2 per box since the end of 2011 - 2012. They have gotten pretty bad in my area and I have been focusing more on halves.

My P/U bank just called, to tell me they forgot to order my halves so they won't be here tomorrow. Thanks! Now it's too late in the day to get anyone to order. It's been two weeks of this "forgetting".

Sounds like you need to dump a thousand dollars or so of nickels and pennies there, maybe they'll get the hint? :)

Agreed, I might have to turn them into a dump bank. No coin counting machine there but I can drop off all my coin-lock bags there if this keeps up. I have alot of them and there heavy and I know they don't want to deal with that. The branch is closing in June, I think they just don't care anymore.
