Test your grading! Buffalo Nickels

Here is 2 Buffalo Nickels for ya'll to grade.
One is already graded---PCI and I totaly agree with the grade--my dealer had about 6 PCI Graded Buff Nickels today and I agreed with 5 of them...the other one I only think was MS63/4 and they graded it MS65!

Anyway---back to these coins---the other one is a nice coin and will be going to NGC soon.
I'll post the grades here after a few people have time to guess the grades.

I'll go VG-8 on the 26-S

That 37-S is a dandy, MS65? Is it for sale???

 

I'll say MS-64 on the (37-s) and VF-20 on the (26-s)

I'll go with MS63 onth 37-S and VF20 on the 26-S. I'm curious , you said you are sending another one off to NGC to grade. Are you leaving it in the PCI holder or cracking it out and sending it raw ? Are you hoping for the coin to cross-over or looking for an upgrade ? Thanks. Good luck.

 

Nope---I have another 1926-S Nickel----so I'll be sending off 2 1926-S nickels total....that is what I was trying to say.
BUT it might come back BB becasue of an old cleaning....the coin has re-toned for the most part and you really can't tell but I'm not going to hold out much hope.

I'll post the grades later....but I will say this----I used to think that PCI overgraded coins but after looking at what ya'll are grading maybe me and PCI agree more and more!

1926: Vf-20

 

Ok.....there has been 6 guesses and I guess I'll post the grade.

AU58---there is light wear on the high points of the Buff and the Indian.....
As for the 1926-S----IMHO it will grade VF20-25.....its a really nice one---got it for under F15 price

Maybe I'll post more photos in the next few weeks of more Buff's to grade---my dealer has a few more that I would like to get.

The 1937 has an UNC observe but the reverse to me look worn on the Buffalo. So I'll say MS62

after more consideration, I think the 26 will grade a 25, considerin it is typically a weak strike, and the tip of the horn is nearly visible.

 

I do that all of the time---it drives me nuts!!!

The same thing I was thinking---its alittle better than the one that NGC graded VF20....the letters are just a little bid more full in LIBERTY---on the VF20 one they almost fade off the edge....these are full.

That 37-S has to be the world's nicest AU-58 Buffalo!

 

Boy, did I ever get it wrong on that 37. That certainly is a nice AU-58...

 

Maybe I should get photos of the MS65 one he had and have ya'll grade it
This is a really nice one---that is the reason I bought it....I try to get coins I like but also have a good deal of eye appeal.
