A recent find

    I got this in change at the craft store the other day. Pic 1 shows the obverse of the dime. It looks totally normal except that the rim is coming forward on the right side of the coin. The second picture is a rim shot. The rim is normal except in this one area. The other two pictures are the reverse of the coin. The line showing on the coin is where it's beginning to bend forward. Is this a mint error or something else? Thanks

    Its like the coin got ripped....

    I think it is probably post-mint damage though.

    Not sure if that bend is due to a mint error or post mint damage.

    Could it be that someone used it for a screw driver.

    could also be due to a bench grinder or something.
