I have received coins recently in mini zip-lok type baggies. Are these safe ? PVC Free ?

I wonder this also, as I usually use them until I have about 20-30 coins to 2x2.
    Good question.

Hard to tell much by the pictures. Look at the packaging to see if it is safe for food storage. That's a safe bet that it does not contain PVC.

One of the local coin shops here uses those when I buy junk silver coins.

Aren't these used for pills as well? If so, I would think they would be PVC-free.

The ones I buy are for pills, so I guess I can wait longer in between switching over to 2x2s now.
    Thanks.

Not sure there is a way to know if they are sent to you by someone else.
These bags are made for lots of different things.
I buy them from China and India by the thousands to package parts in.
I would never put a coin in the ones I buy.

You can buy the little PVC, archival grade zip locks for coins, but whether or not you have this type can't be told by looking at them.
