This might be a dumb question, but why is this a tough coin? I see a faint shadow on the "D" mint mark. Could this be the reason why it is a difficult coin to acquire in mint condition?
Just picked this up. Been wanting this for a little while. $20 wasnt too bad I dont think. You figure $5 a coin.
That's a really neat presentation. Is it housed in one of those extra big slabs that holds all the coins?
Yes it is. I have been wanting this proof series and also wanted the oversized slab. Im happy with it. Will look good on the desk.
I think I had put in a bid on this one if it was the one on Ebay lol. Good buy I was going to bid again but something else caught my eye lol.
Crazy rainbow toned Lincoln. Just bought this off ebay (these are the sellers photos which he says are not enhanced in any way). I plan on submitting to PCGS and seeing what they say. I don't recall seeing more vivid rainbow toning on an MS Lincoln. I even like the obverse toning with the woody effect.
Woo Hoo WL!! I think this may prove to be a real winner. I can see PCGS giving this a grade. I'm sure it's not quite as "in your face" as the photo suggests. I really look forward to seeing the TrueView.:thumb:
I have many of toned Lincolns in my collection but this is one of my favorites. Pulled from an old Dansco.
Here's another one of my favorites. It looks the the reverse is almost tiger striped. Very nice toning.
