Thought I would run some other Morgan Dollars by the experts in here
to get some opinions and thoughts.

79-CC: cleaned but still worth more than melt. Going off of Numismedia (which may be outdated so the price may not be accurate) if that coin wasnt cleaned it would go for in VF condition is around $300.
    84-s: cleaned worth melt
89-CC: Cleaned.. Maybe XF condition (still learning how to grade morgans so I can be off) if it wasn't cleaned Numismedia states it's a $2,800 coin
    92-O: cleaned and worth melt.

I would research these coins either using google search engine of the search engine on this forum. Also more experienced members will chime in.

Boy I'll say James. Thanks for looking Shoewrecky. Will do a google research as soon as I figure out how (still kinda new around here). Thanks BUncirculated which date CC do you think has any value so I can log it 1879 or 1889?. IMG_3781.jpg IMG_3784.jpg IMG_3793.JPG-1.jpg IMG_3795.jpg I still have about 130 Morgan Dollars to go thru, So I hope It's OK to post some of them here for all to check out.
These coins havent been touched for the 35 or so years that I've known about them. Before then, it's anyones guess. With that being said, here's a couple more

    Hi Stang1968,
The Morgans I've shown here are the ones I have that I'm just not experienced
enough to make a call on. Thats why I'm asking for advise from all the good folks in this forum. here are a couple that I'm pretty sure you'd like. (was wondering though if the 1778 is 7 over 8 feathers IMG_3813-1.jpg IMG_3808-1.jpg IMG_3802-1.jpg

1889-CC is no where near XF. The eagle's breast is worn flat, the hair abover the ear is worn the eagles wing tips show wear and there is little detail in the cotton bols. The affore mentioned details are most of the points to look at when considering wear. A typical uncleaned coin with this kind of circulation wear will almost always have a dark halo around the raised portions of the design especially the lettering. I would grade this to be a high Fine but heavilly cleaned with a maximum net grade of VG. Carson City was noted for typically having exceptional strike quality (as opposed to most New Orleans) so the lack of breast feather details is not due to a light strike.

This a 7 over 8 TF as can be seen in the close up.
