African quarter dinar

    hi all . i am fairly new to this. i am just trying to figure out the value of a african quarter dinar with the date 1369 on it needless to say the coin is in perfect condition

    This is a Libyan coin.Libya uses a very strange calendar that is based on the Solar Hegira (SH) calendar.

    The current Libyan version of SH1369 is roughly equivalent to 2001-2002AD. This 1/4 Dinar is nickel-brass and 28 millimeters in diameter. The 2006 Krause lists it as KM26 and at $50 in Uncirculated condition.
