Also watching a PCGS 50 that ends soon but has blurry pics, both have a 7 day return privilege. Thanks
something seems off to me, but I am by no means any expert On the reverse -the lettering seems to rounded, the coins I have seen, seem to have a flatter text -the spears/bush in the center of the coin seem more like a blob, I have seen them more clearly defined -the lines on the shield should be more defined Like I have said I am not an expert, but those are my thoughts/opinion. I love to hear a member with more experience opinion, chime in.
Thanks for the help all. I ended up sniping the AU 50 PCGS one for under $90. Seller has bad pics, & a few slow ships but we'll see how it goes.
One more question if I may. Do you think this dime is XF? What about the retained cud @ 6:00 on the rev, hurts or helps? Would it grade? If it would, the $135 price tag seems more than fair.
Something seemed off to me, too. I was thinking more along the lines of an older cleaning that has since toned. It's almost a coin that would need to be evaluated in hand to make an accurate assement.
Oh, well I ended up going with a different quarter. The one I posted would have been an XF45 IMHO, the other one is PCGS slabbed AU50. I just hope it's not in one of those fake slabs.
Definitely an edge picture... some of the reproduction Hawaiians I've seen appear to be cast. You can tell easily from viewing the edge as most of the time they don't bother smoothing up the line where the two molds came together. Further, I believe the real ones are reeded. I don't have my Red Book with me to confirm.
