Well i wasn't going to buy one, but guess what I BOUGHT ONE FROM THE MINT. I just had a idea that wanted one of these.

"Product will be available for shipping 07/13/2006" was it like this since the begining or is it because of the many orders ?

 

I am I crazy or isn't this a huge amount of money (like my coin budget for a year?)

 

I ordered one at 12:00 noon (PST) . Hopefully some of you left me one of the 300,000. :rolling:

 

Do you think these will sellout, the 300,000' or would they make more/

 

It looks like a nice coin, but I'm going to wait. It's a bit too pricey to buy on a whim.

 

the mint stated that all orders would be on backorder so that they can check that people are not going over the 10 coin limit

 

Eventually they will sellout, but I doubt it will sold out yet as 240,000,000 is a lot of money to sell in just a day or two.

Sweet deal overall for the mint....but then again, all their sales are sweet! :bow:

Wow, those coins look a lot nicer in the picture than they do in person. I'd say the coins have a color similar to a sac dollar. They are nothing like a nice saint or lib.

300,000 proof gold buffalo equivalent to 3 billions pcs of buffalo nickels. at $800.00 a pc. soon gonna crush like a dead bull.

 

It's fun to hold up a one ounce Maple Leaf to the AGE. The color differences are striking between coins with different gold content, which is part of the fun of collecting gold coins in my opinion. They aren't quite all the same.

 

You are absoloutely right, sweeper! If you want a good place to go and compair the color of gold, try the Black Hills of South Dakota and you will find everything from green to orange to pink to yellow and shades of silver shaded gold. All in their jewelry and still being mined there in the hills. None of it is as pure as the new Buffalo coin, but it's still gold.

So I guess buying my full 1 ounce pure Gold Buffalo coin at about $600.00 (which is $25 over spot right now) is a loser. Guess I shouldn't wait for Gold to hit $6000 an ounce! LOL.

Also some people do buys coins for the beauty, not just for an investment. That being said this coin will always be worth at least the melt value of 1 ounce of Gold plus I have a beautiful coin to boot.
