can anyone grade this coin? i'm not good expert, just got new coin in my collection, what grade it can be from good to extra fine? i know you guys specialize in US coins, but i think you can take a look to help me with this. KRAUSE VG - 35usd Fine - 75USD VF - 175USD XF - 450USD i know that these copper coins are very scarce in high grade, all i found on net was just average. thanks in advance
As the girl scouts would say, that first one looks like it could grade Thin Mint State. It's crusty and chocolatey!
On the cents. I do not believe the top one to be gradeable. Without a clearer pic and seeing both sides, I would give the bottom one VF25. But that's without actually seeing the coin itself.
Let's not hijack this thread. I think the OP wants to know what grade his/her coin would grade, and doesn't care about lincolns. Go put up your own thread to grade the lincolns, ok? Lenee, welcome to CT and unfortunately, I know nothing about your coin. Hopefully someone will come on who can help you. Give it some time, not everyone is online at once.
It's pretty easy. Go to the top bar and hit <forums>, then select the forum you want, and near the top hit the area that says <post new thread>. but, while you're at it, can you tell me how you created this thread? I am no expert on these coins by any means, but I am fairly familiar with them. The designs are never very well defined and never look much better than XF even if they are unc. Just the nature of the design. This coin looks to be in the F-15 to VF-20 to me, but it would be nearly impossible to grade ANY coin by a photo alone.
What is it exactly? Something Scandanavian? Looks very interesting. I hope you find the answers you need here!
Sweden copper 1 Ore, 1626.... not sure which mint. I think that it looks VF-20ish, maybe a bit higher/lower if seen in hand. Only by looking closely can you see the difference between a weak initial strike and honest wear. Is the green color corrosion or copper patina?
