My first error

    Nice coin but it's about 10% off the center, so it's a no go for me. I like perfection! ;)

    :) i think it's unique because it was in that 1944-1946 period of expanded shell's used for cents.

    I've read that that never happened. Yes, the composition changed for sure, but it's unlikely that any shells were actually used. It just never came to that from what I understand.

    There is no proof, but i am one to venture to believe that the plan was formed. By the time that all the casings were hoarded by the government and shipped back to the mint they werent even needed.

    Yeah, I think you're probably right. By the time the plan was ready, the war was over and they weren't needed.

    That is a great looking coin did u by it graded or send it out yourself?

    bought it graded but might get it reslabbed, the scratch above hsi head on obv. is distracting, hologram is wearing off, and i think itd look better in edgeview.

    Nice one! i sent it off the get re-holdered, since it was 10% i feel the off-center could have been seen better in a edgeview.
