    I got this in a roll of nickels the other day. It's not a spectacular date, but it does have nice colors. The coin has aged far more gracefully than I have :)

    I love purple-toned nickels. I've got a purple one from the same year, but for some reason the purple color doesn't show up in the photo:confused:

    Still a beautiful proof , I'd send it to NGC for conservation .

    It's in an NGC PR64 holder! Like I said the toning detracts from it. I got it for $125

    Looks even better in hand. The obverse is gold toned around a purple face. The Reverse is gold and a light magenta around the left side. The luster is hard to capture but it still has the proof shine.
