I've got three coins that are pretty interesting. They look like I should be able to figure them out, but alas no. Please help me here so I can empty out my box of questionables.
Hi there, I think the first two are from the Kingdom of Bhutan. They tended to melt the coins of Cooch Bihar into a more base metal (ie not silver). Your first coin looks like KM 21 from the fourth period, made of copper. The second one looks to be of the second or third period, the former of silver-copper alloy, the latter of copper or brass. No idea about number three! Probably not of much value, but good looking coins. Regards Gary
Thank you much. I feel a little shame here. I think I know a lot about foreign coins, but I would never have even considered looking into Bhutan on these. Then to further my shame, I confirmed the ID of the second one, KM7, Bhutan Period III, then, while reaching for a 2X2 to put it in, I dropped it and I can not find it!!! Wow do I need to clean this room up. My collecting space is also the place where my kids watch Netflix on my computer so I'll blame them. Well, maybe not. I guess I've got my Spring Break project lined up.
