The clad composition is a lot harder than silver. But the hardness is only part of the problem. The other issues are time and expense. The higher the relief the more time and money it takes to produce that relief. I don't think there's any "kinda" about it. But that's me.
The $100,000 note was never issued for the general public-- it was only made for use by Federal Reserve banks and the Treasury Department in the mid-1930s.
We should start the "Bring back Lady Liberty" movement. I think all coins should have some rendition of Lady Liberty, I miss her.
If I had my druthers, I'd go back to the Indian cent, Buffalo nickel, Mercury dime, SLQ and WL half. They were by far the nicest circulating coinage this country ever had.
I'll vote for those and the Lady Liberty movement! :yes:And decent, non-flat strikes with some relief on the designs.
I think some slightly different stuff might be good, but anything to get presidents off them. I think it would be awsome to see some "remixes" like the obverse of an IHC with the reverse of a VDB Lincoln, blast red, straight from the mint. it would be cool if they did like a quarterly "remix" where one could vote on the mint website. they could even put em into circulation. I would buy that and take everyone I saw out of circulation. They could even make special mint and proof sets with some of the original compositions. but then I think, this idea would get shot down faster than a turkey on thanksgiving. but a guy can dream, can't he... Edit: I forgot, you would need some new mints for that kind of order. Would it not be so cool to have circulating and proof Carson city, Dahlonega, and Charlotte coins. I am a dreamer.
