Team, As evidenced by near-bout all of my other posts you can tell simple and unusual things and me JUST seem to get along Thought I'd show you my latest (obscure) coin related item. I wonder if Jen (the wife) will let me put it up in the living room or will it be relegated to my library/dungeon??? Think I already know the answer, but isn't the toning nice due nodoubt to the preservatives in the wood. Take Care Ben
nice clock Hey, that is really cool. Uh oh I think I hear gears grinding, it may be time to head to the workshop again!! I've been working on coin rings, now I may have to be a clock-maker for a while.
Do the 50 cent pieces fall out when it hits 12 and 6? Can you see Smoke comming from the grassy knoll on those two dimes?
Yes, the shipping was pretty steep, but it surprised me at the degree of packaging and quick delivery. B
Did you see where I hung it on the wall in our library or dungeon depending on your point of view, LOL. B
Bonedigger If I would have went to the library/dungeon first I would have seen that they were 1964-p sorry about that. As foor the clock not yet but I will sooneror later I will have to use my 10x.
Bone, I bought a motorcycle from someone last year that had the perfect accessory for your clock for the other "library". It was a NOS clear lucite toilet seat that had two or three dozen 1964 silver coins imbedded in the plastic.
Question; Are the coins set into the wood or are they simply glued to the surface. On some of them it appears to show their edges, but on others I simply can't tell. Also, do you know what kind of wood was used?
They're set into the wood, then glued I think. Looks like they poked a few holes with a router. The old boy who made this could have made a hundred in a day. Bone
