Folks, I'm not sure what, if anything, to make of these coins. Both are Denver mint, one is '95, and the other is '98. There are visible circular dents on the reverse sides of both coins. I've included another '95 nickel for comparison. One can also feel the marks with a fingernail. So, what do you make of these? Some type of striking error? Or simply damage from circulation? Admittedly, I have no idea.
Ah, that seems to make sense. Have you come across this before? I'd like to see more of this sort of thing so I can recognize it in the future. Thanks very much.
